The role will involve running services and ensuring our high standards remain, plus assisting our Head Chef Lewis in prep, ordering, food hygiene and general cleanliness.
This is an exciting role with room for progression as the restaurant evolves within Margate House Hotel, adding on events and one-off workshops and food-based classes.

  • Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
  • Support the training and development of junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge, maintaining good work place culture
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
  • Contribute to the creation of innovative dishes that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences

  • Food production and preparation skills with a strong focus on quality control
  • Proficient in cooking techniques across various cuisines with a solid understanding of food safety standards
  • Previous experience working in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments
  • Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous, as we have an open kitchen.

This position offers an engaging environment where creativity and professionalism are valued. We seek dedicated a chef who is eager to contribute their culinary expertise, while advancing their careers with us.
