Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our luxury boutique hotel restaurant in Ramsgate. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food service management. This role involves ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and leading a dedicated team to deliver outstanding service in a refined environment.

Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Supervise and motivate staff, including serving personnel, kitchen staff, and baristas, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to uphold high culinary standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Coordinate food production, presentation, and service to optimise guest satisfaction.
  • Organise staff schedules, training programmes, and performance appraisals.
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and tact.
  • Maintain organisational standards in cleanliness, organisation, and overall ambience of the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with hotel management on marketing initiatives and special events.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead and inspire staff effectively.
  • Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
  • Previous barista experience or bar management skills are advantageous.
  • Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills.
