Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by chefs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Support catering events by preparing dishes according to specified menus and dietary requirements.
  • Help with serving meals to customers, ensuring a high standard of presentation and service.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of meals during busy service periods.
  • Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to supervisors.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles such as catering or restaurant experience.
  • Familiarity with culinary techniques and food safety practices is essential.
  • Experience in meal preparation and food preparation will be advantageous.

Information

  • Hourly rate is £12.75
  • 9.25 hours a day
  • Looking for someone who could do minimum of 27.75 hours a week. This would be discussed in the interview.
  • Shift times: 7:30am - 14:30pm (then you would be able to leave and come back for evening shift) 16:00-18:30pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 27.75 per week
