Full job description

Front of House Team Member (Barista-Trained) – New Bakery & Speciality Coffee Shop Opening

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and proactive Front of House team member to join our brand-new bakery and coffee shop, opening this June.

We’re an established and growing bakery brand with a strong online presence, known for delivering high-quality baked goods across the UK. Now, we’re bringing that same quality into a physical space — combining exceptional bakes with Allpress speciality coffee.

This is a key role where you’ll be the face of the business, helping to create a warm, welcoming environment while supporting the coffee operation during busy periods.

The Role:

  • Taking customer orders and managing the till efficiently
  • Serving cakes, pastries, and drinks to a high standard
  • Delivering excellent customer service and creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
  • Supporting the Head Barista during busy periods (e.g. assisting with drinks and workflow)
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area
  • Managing customer flow and queues during peak times
  • Handling basic allergen awareness and communicating this clearly to customers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or hospitality role preferred
  • Friendly, approachable, and confident speaking with customers
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy periods
  • Comfortable using tills and handling transactions accurately
  • Willingness to learn barista skills and support the wider team
  • Someone who takes pride in creating a space people want to return to

What We Offer:

  • Opportunity to be part of an exciting new opening
  • Work alongside a skilled Head Barista using Allpress speciality coffee
  • Ongoing training and development
  • A growing business with long-term opportunities

We’re building more than just a coffee shop — we want a space where people come regularly to meet friends, work, and enjoy great coffee and bakes.

If you enjoy working with people and want to be part of building something from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discount
  • On-site parking

Application question(s):

  • How would you travel to work?
  • You would be expected to work weekends and weekdays, is this an issue?
  • Do you have any barista experience? If not, are you comfortable learning and supporting during busy periods?”
