Job Title: Front of House (Wine Enthusiast)
Job Summary: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated wine enthusiast to join our team as a Front of House Team Member. You don't require a huge wine knowledge, just an interest in wine and desire to learn more. We're looking for both part-time and full-time candidates. We'll provide full training and develop you. This role is perfect for someone who loves wine and is eager to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with our customers. Located in the iconic Chandlery Building on the harbour front of Wells-next-the-Sea, our establishment boasts one of the finest wine selections in the county. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow in a vibrant and supportive environment, with perks such as vineyard trips, tastings in London, and a generous in-store wine discount.
Duties:
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to guests, offering expert guidance and recommendations on our extensive wine selection.
- Wine Service: Serve wines with precision and care, ensuring every glass or bottle meets the highest presentation standards.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing wine stock, including receiving, organizing, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Front of House Operations: Maintain a well-organized and welcoming front of house area, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience.
- Education & Development: Engage in continuous wine education through tastings, vineyard visits, and team training sessions.
- Sales & Promotion: Use your wine knowledge and enthusiasm to promote and sell wines to customers both in the bar and the shop.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members to foster a positive and collaborative work environment, sharing insights and learning together.
Skills:
- Wine Knowledge: A solid understanding of wine with a keen desire to deepen your expertise.
- Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, capable of engaging customers and conveying your passion for wine.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to managing wine inventory and maintaining high service standards.
- Teamwork: A cooperative and supportive attitude, ready to contribute to the team’s success.
- Ambition: A proactive mindset with a desire to grow within the role and embrace the educational opportunities available.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, efficiently handling multiple tasks while delivering top-notch service.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a wine lover to immerse themselves in a dynamic and rewarding position. If you are enthusiastic about wine and eager to expand your knowledge in a friendly and inspiring setting, we would love to hear from you.
