Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Candidates with supervising experience and a keen eye for food safety are highly desirable. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating high-quality dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise resources
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment, including equipment maintenance and sanitation routines
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards and regulations
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Experience in menu creation, food innovation, and cost control is advantageous
  • Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates committed to excellence
