Reporting to Managing Director

Red Hall Hotel is an award winning, independently owned hotel with 37 bedrooms, Mélange Restaurant, weddings, conferences, private events and a strong reputation across the local area.

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded and hands on Assistant Hotel Manager to join the Red Hall family.

You will work closely with the Directors, supporting them with the day to day running and continued development of the hotel. As the Directors manage several businesses, this role will be central to ensuring the hotel continues to operate smoothly, deliver exceptional service and grow commercially under their direction.

You will be joining an excellent established team, including a talented Head Chef, an experienced Head of Events and a dedicated Food and Beverage team.

This is a varied and exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine impact across hotel operations, customer experience, sales, events and marketing.

The role

  • Support and assist the Directors with the daily management of the hotel
  • Be visible, approachable and hands on throughout the hotel
  • Lead by example during busy services, weddings and events
  • Deliver consistently excellent customer service
  • Review and improve the guest journey and overall service design
  • Support room rate management and maximise bedroom revenue
  • Drive hotel, restaurant, wedding, corporate and event sales
  • Support marketing campaigns, promotions and social media activity
  • Build relationships with local businesses and organisations
  • Represent Red Hall Hotel at local business and networking events
  • Support the Food and Beverage, Events, Kitchen and Front of House teams
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve concerns quickly
  • Support recruitment, training, team development and performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve standards, revenue and guest satisfaction

About you

  • Previous hotel or hospitality management experience of atleast 4 years
  • A strong understanding of excellent customer service
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in sales and revenue management
  • Experience or a keen interest in events and marketing
  • Confident leading, supporting and motivating a team
  • Professional, trustworthy and comfortable representing the hotel
  • Proactive, organised and able to work closely with business owners
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends and key events
  • Cost efficiency will be key in staff deployment and training
