Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and hygiene standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional kitchen environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality dishes for our valued guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook and plate meals efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation quality
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times
- Assist with mise en place, including chopping, marinating, and organising ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring timely food delivery
- Follow instructions from head chefs and kitchen managers to meet quality expectations
- Contribute to stock control by notifying management of inventory levels and expiry dates
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
