Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Server/Barstaff for an Italian Restaurant. This role involves delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly to guests
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with licensing laws and company standards
  • Provide friendly, attentive service to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service operations
  • Assist with setting up and clearing tables during service hours
  • Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer care

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles (Italian Restaurant) is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing laws
  • Strong serving skills with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments and bills accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
