Full job description

We’re looking for a friendly, confident and hands on Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at The Lamb Inn in Shipton-under-Wychwood.

We’re after someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, takes pride in looking after customers and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed. You’ll be working on the floor, serving customers, managing a busy section and supporting the team to deliver consistently great service.

Working alongside the management team, you’ll help keep service running smoothly, maintain high standards and make sure every guest feels welcome.

Currently a waiter or waitress looking to take the next step in your career? We’d particularly love to hear from you. Previous supervisory experience isn’t essential, we’re happy to support the right person as they develop their leadership skills. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are just as important as experience.

Please note: reliable transport is essential, as public transport to the village is limited.

The role

As Restaurant Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example during busy food and drink service
  • Delivering warm, attentive and knowledgeable customer service
  • Serving customers and confidently managing your own section
  • Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
  • Ensuring service runs smoothly and resolving issues as they arise
  • Supporting opening and closing procedures
  • Working closely with the management team to continually improve the guest experience
