We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our events run smoothly, delivering high-quality food service while maintaining the standards of fine dining.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Set up and break down banquet tables, serving stations, and other event areas as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages promptly.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
  • Support dietary needs by understanding menu items and assisting guests with their selections.
  • Maintain inventory of catering supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout all events, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Skills

  • Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Experience in food preparation, catering, or banquet services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience as a dietary aide or barista is a plus, enhancing versatility within the role.
