Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Waitor/ waitress and to lead our hospitality team within a vibrant restaurant environment. This role requires a professional with a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, capable of overseeing daily activities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and service. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing service quality, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the establishment.

Duties

  • Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table utilisation through effective time management.
  • Assist with food and beverage service, including upselling menu items to maximise revenue opportunities..
  • Coordinate staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to maintain a cohesive team environment.
  • Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues promptly to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant management, ideally with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Good understanding of guest services principles and upselling techniques.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions, billing, and inventory control.
  • Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable.
