Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional individual to join our team as a Bar/Front of House at our establishment in Lyme Regis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of our venue, providing excellent service to our guests in a lively and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high standards of hospitality, ensuring guests have a memorable experience, and maintaining the smooth operation of the bar and front-of-house area.

Duties

  • Greeting and serving customers in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Taking orders accurately and delivering food and beverages promptly
  • Preparing and serving drinks in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas
  • Handling cash transactions and operating the till with basic maths skills
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Assisting with setting up tables, clearing, and resetting for new guests
  • Managing time effectively during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service
  • Supporting team members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
  • Ability to serve customers professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
  • A personable nature with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
  • Flexibility to work during peak times, including evenings and weekends as required
