Full job description

The Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa has a new opportunity for a Night Porter to join the team. The hotel has 53 bedrooms and operates events throughout the year alongside our award winning AA rosette restaurant set in 30 acres of grounds.

Our Night Porter role is a diverse role and you will be responsible for doing anything from setting conference rooms, setting up breakfast, checking in late arrivals, operating the late night bar and carrying out general cleaning duties to deliver an excellent guest experience.

A Night Porter will also be required to ensure all back of house areas are kept clean, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Check in the late arriving guests
  • Clean and set meeting rooms ready for following day's business in line with the daily function sheets issued.
  • Clean and setting up the restaurant and dining areas for breakfast
  • Overseeing the security and safety of the hotel, staff and guests overnight and ensuring that guests have a comfortable stay
  • Operating the late night bar, serving drinks to company standard.
  • Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, and emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers
  • Observe COSHH guidelines when handling hazardous substances and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety requirements
  • Report any maintenance and, or, hazard issues to the Duty Managers
  • Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Duty Management team

A Night Porter at the Petwood Hotel is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other staff members to deliver a stay to delight our customers

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Previous Night Porter experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

The pay is based upon 16 shifts every 4 weeks, should more shifts be worked the pay will be proportionally higher
