Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in kitchen operations and a dedication to culinary excellence. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the head chef and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring efficiency and quality
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate with suppliers for ingredient replenishment
  • Train junior kitchen staff and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with hygiene standards and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
  • Experience in serving customers or front-of-house duties is a plus
