Job Summary

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday
Hours: Approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start: September 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our busy farm shop and café kitchen.

This role would suit someone who already has some cooking experience, enjoys working with fresh ingredients and would like to develop their skills and build a career working with food.

You do not need to be a qualified chef. We are looking for a good, confident cook with a genuine interest in food. Training and support can be provided to help the right person develop their skills further.

Duties

  • Preparing our range of homemade ready meals for sale in the Farm Shop
  • Preparing and cooking food for our café
  • Supporting our busy breakfast and lunchtime service
  • Preparing ingredients and helping with menu preparation
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Working as part of a friendly and busy kitchen team
  • Helping with general kitchen duties when required
  • Requirements
  • Has previous cooking or kitchen experience
  • Is confident preparing and cooking food
  • Has a genuine interest in food and would like to develop their skills
  • Is reliable, organised and able to work at a good pace
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is happy working in a busy kitchen environment
  • Is available to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • A positive attitude and passion for delivering excellent food and service.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 26.0 per week
