About us

The Swan is an independent restaurant and cocktail bar located in West Malling. We are a customer focused restaurant group that prides itself on being professional, creative, agile, innovative and our goal is to create a fantastic neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of the village.

Responsibilities: - Greet all customers warmly and in a friendly and professional manner
- Take drink orders accurately and efficiently - Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or requests - Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales - Ensure that the bar is fully stocked and set for service at all times
- Keep the bar and work stations clean and tidy - To assist bar manager with stock control and cellar management

Requirements: - Previous experience as a bartender or in the culinary industry is preferred - Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of cocktail and coffees preparation and presentation techniques - Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with both guests and colleagues - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure
