Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations within our bustling café. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive experience in food preparation and team management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and driving the overall success of the establishment. The successful applicant will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality service.

Duties

  • Manage daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Supervise and motivate staff, including baristas, serving personnel, and kitchen team members
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
  • Coordinate food production processes to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
  • Develop staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to foster a cohesive team environment
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock control
  • Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clientele

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques

  • Familiarity with hospitality operations such as serving, barista duties, and general kitchen experience
  • Previous experience in hotel or bar settings is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
