Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Bank Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about catering, cooking, and the culinary arts to gain valuable experience within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in line with established recipes and standards
  • Support the catering team during events and daily service periods
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times
  • Help with basic cooking tasks under supervision, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
  • Serve food to customers or guests in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist with washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and waste disposal to uphold health regulations

Experience

  • Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
  • Familiarity with meal preparation, food presentation, and kitchen equipment will be beneficial
  • Experience in working within a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or catering service is preferred
