About Us
The Plough is a well-established, much-loved family pub in the heart of Low Bradfield. Family-owned and operated, we bring our hospitality expertise from our sister venue, The Schoolrooms, as we continue to develop The Plough into a standout gastropub.

Following a full internal refurbishment, we’ve created an even more inviting space for our loyal locals and regulars. Located on the edge of Sheffield in the beautiful village of Bradfield, within the Peak District, we are a true destination venue for families and visitors alike.

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our friendly, close-knit team. This is a hands-on role, with both part time and full time positions available working on a 20–40 hour basis, including evenings and weekends (essential).

You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub, leading the front-of-house team and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service.

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ full-time front of house experience in hospitality
  • Be confident across all FOH duties, including table service, bar work, and supervising shifts
  • Be highly organised, proactive, and able to think on your feet
  • Have excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service
  • Hold a full driving licence and have their own transport (essential due to location)

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining excellent health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages
  • Taking orders and processing payments via the till system
  • Delivering friendly, professional service to every guest
  • Managing customer bookings and event enquiries
  • Serving freshly prepared food and drinks
  • Completing daily cleaning and end-of-day cashing up
  • Ensuring smooth service and strong communication between team members

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of an exciting period of growth following our recent refurbishment
  • Opportunities to take on additional responsibility and help shape the future of the business
  • Work within a supportive, small, and tight-knit team
  • 20% discount on food and drink across all our venues
  • Flexible approach to holidays and time off
  • On-site parking
  • Discounted or free food while on shift

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you.
