Full job description

We are looking to recruit a full-time chef de partie for The Chequers at Cutnall Green. We have built a great reputation for amazing our food. Our food offer is fresh, seasonal & experimental taking inspiration from cuisines all around the world. Everything is cooked from scratch by our chefs. The menu is constantly changing & we are always trying new things.

The Chequers is an independent gastropub located in the heart of Cutnall Green. Our food offer is fresh, seasonal & experimental. The menu takes inspiration from cuisines all around the world. We prepare all our dishes in-house. It is a young & ambitious team who are constantly trying new things & pushing new ideas.

We are looking for a chef de partie with a passion for fresh food. Someone who is creative & consistent, who can bring new ideas & support the other members of the kitchen team in executing our great food. The ideal candidates are passionate about food we can train the rest. We would love someone who is keen to advance & wants to move onto the next level as we look to expand the business with another site very soon.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed in the kitchen.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to plan and execute menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
