Part time job for Howlingwolf Bakery and cafe in Whitehaven

working hours would be around 10am-2pm

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring a smooth operation of food preparation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a professional hospitality setting, with exposure to various aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cleaning, and basic culinary tasks.

Duties

  • Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to uphold hygiene standards
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff
  • Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift
  • Supporting the team with stock organisation and storage
  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
  • Supporting the overall efficiency of the kitchen by performing additional duties as required during busy periods

Skills

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential, training can be provided
