Experienced Waiter/Waitress – Italian Restaurant

We are looking for an experienced and confident Waiter/Waitress to join our team.

We are looking for someone who understands what excellent restaurant service looks like and is confident enough to manage their own section independently, while making sure every customer receives a warm, attentive and professional experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years of restaurant experience. Previous experience working in an Italian restaurant is highly desirable, and candidates who are familiar with Italian food, dishes, ingredients and dining culture will be particularly suited to the role.

The Role

You will be responsible for looking after your own section of approximately 7–10 tables, from welcoming customers through to taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring they have an enjoyable dining experience.

You should be able to work confidently without constant supervision, stay organised during busy services and maintain a high standard of customer service throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a section of approximately 7–10 tables
  • Provide friendly, professional and attentive customer service
  • Take food and drink orders accurately
  • Have a good understanding of the menu and confidently explain dishes and ingredients to customers
  • Provide recommendations when required
  • Ensure food and drinks are served efficiently and correctly
  • Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented section
  • Handle busy services calmly and efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
  • Make sure customers feel welcomed and well looked after throughout their visit
  • Work as part of a team while taking full responsibility for your own section

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2–3 years of restaurant experience
  • Previous experience as a waiter/waitress
  • Confident working independently and managing 7–10 tables
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of food and restaurant service
  • Previous Italian restaurant experience is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Italian cuisine, dishes and ingredients is an advantage
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Able to remain calm and organised during busy services
  • Positive attitude and a genuine interest in providing excellent hospitality
