Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in food preparation and kitchen operations, supporting the senior chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties

  • Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and standards
  • Support the cooking process by following instructions from senior chefs and ensuring dishes are prepared to specification
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Help with food plating and presentation to ensure visually appealing dishes are served promptly
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment to ensure continuous kitchen operation
  • Supervise junior team members when required, providing guidance on food production and safety procedures
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues and supporting restaurant service during busy periods

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is essential; a strong willingness to learn is key
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices in a professional setting
  • Experience in food production, cooking, or hospitality environments is advantageous
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Leadership qualities with some supervising or team management experience are highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service
