Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our dynamic mobile team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on creating high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily for service, setting up mobile van with all ingredients for service in evening. Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively during meal preparation
  • Assist in the development of new pizza recipes and menu items
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver prompt and friendly service
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including food safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Hours are 2pm to 10pm daily 5 days Per week Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, especially related to pizza making and meal preparation
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • A positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and passion for delivering quality food
  • Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
