Sandburn Hall are currently looking for both full time & part time bar tenders & servers to work across the business. Primarily you will start in our conference, banqueting and functions team before moving into other areas of the business & as required.

Hospitality & customer service is a fundamental focus for this role, and we expect you to be as passionate about it as we are. We require you to be confident and professional in your approach to creating the highest level of customer experience.

You will ideally be multi-skilled across all facets of bar service, possess great communication skills, and enjoy creating positive customer experiences. Previous experience as a Bartender/Server is preferred, however full training will be provided for the right candidate(s). Most importantly, you must possess the ability and drive to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity. You will also need to be flexible with your working hours, covering day shifts, evenings, and weekends on a regular basis.

Salary: Up to £11.45 per hour - Various shifts available.

DUTIES AFTER SUCCESSFUL TRAINING WILL INCLUDE:

• Serving food/drinks & processing payments.
• Deliver the departments standard operating procedures.
• Ensuring high cleanliness levels across all bars.
• Liaising with other departments where necessary – team player!
• Cellar management & line cleaning as required / when trained.
• Closing bars and service areas as required.
• Assist in other parts of the business as required.

IN A NUTSHELL WE NEED THE FOLLOWING:

• Flexibility towards working hours (we operate 7 days a week).
• A strong work ethic.
• Weekends and evenings are essential in this role (due to the busy nature of the business). If you cannot work weekends, please do not apply.
• Seasonal Late shifts (we close some function bars at 1am).
• Experience preferred but not essential, if you are happy to learn we can teach you everything you need to know to be successful in the bar roles.
• 1 year hospitality experience would be beneficial but not essential.
• Own transport & Driving License is preferred due to our location and late shift finishes.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Sandburn Hall is a family run, independent leisure business that opened in 2005. We are located at Flaxton, just off the A64, approx. 8 miles from York & nestled in a picturesque landscape of over 1,000 acres of serene lakes and enchanting woodland. Currently incorporating a 40-bed hotel, 18-hole golf course, Sports Bar, Tykes restaurant & 3 Event spaces / function rooms. We offer free on-site parking for all staff.
