Yum Cha is a modern Chinese restaurant group specialising in dim sum, roast meats and big plates designed for sharing.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Yum Cha Altrincham.

You will support the restaurant management team with the day-to-day running of the restaurant, lead the team during service and help ensure every customer receives friendly, efficient and professional service.

This is a hands-on position, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable leading from the front and working alongside the team during busy services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during shifts
  • Allocate duties, organise breaks and ensure all areas are properly covered
  • Support smooth and efficient restaurant service
  • Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer concerns professionally
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
  • Complete opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure company procedures and service standards are followed
  • Support cash-handling and till procedures
  • Help train and develop new and existing team members
  • Work closely with the kitchen and management teams
  • Follow food safety, health and safety and licensing requirements
  • Assist with stock checks and deliveries when required

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory, team leader or management role is essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Confidence in managing a team during busy services
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility
  • Able to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • The right to work in the UK
