We are looking for a confident, reliable and enthusiastic Restaurant Team Member to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining front-of-house service with kitchen support. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a small team and is happy to work across different areas of the restaurant depending on what is required during each shift.

Rather than being restricted to one particular station, the successful candidate will become confident in the overall day-to-day operation of the restaurant, from welcoming and serving customers to assisting with food preparation and kitchen service.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House

• Welcoming customers and providing friendly, professional service
• Taking food and drink orders accurately
• Serving food and drinks
• Using the till/POS system and processing payments
• Preparing and resetting tables
• Responding to customer queries and requests
• Maintaining a clean and presentable restaurant and bar area
• Assisting with opening and closing duties

Kitchen

• Supporting food preparation before and during service
• Preparing and plating dishes in accordance with our standards
• Assisting the kitchen during busy service periods
• Ensuring food presentation remains consistent
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Following food hygiene and safety procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries and general kitchen organisation
• Supporting cleaning and closing procedures at the end of service

About the Role

Fambul is a Lebanese and Sierra Leonean restaurant and bar, offering a menu that brings together dishes and flavours from both cuisines.

As a smaller independent restaurant, teamwork is extremely important to us. While everyone will have their main responsibilities during a shift, we work together to ensure service runs smoothly.

This means that during a busy service you may be serving customers one moment and assisting with plating or food preparation the next. Equally, if the kitchen is under control but front of house becomes busy, we expect the team to support one another.

Full training will be provided on our menu, service standards and the preparation and presentation of our dishes.

Previous experience within hospitality, restaurants, bars or kitchens would be beneficial, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important to us.

What to Expect

This is not a role where you will be expected to remain in one position for an entire shift.

We are looking for someone who wants to understand how the restaurant operates as a whole and who is comfortable becoming confident across both front of house and kitchen service.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
