Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic kitchen team member to join our busy cafe kitchen.

You don't need to be a fully qualified chef, but you must have previous experience working with food in a commercial kitchen and be confident in following recipes, preparing and presenting food.

Responsibilities

  • Food preparation and cooking
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times (We can provide an online course to help you achieve your level 1 & 2 food safety certificates)
  • Prepare ingredients for service, including washing, peeling, and measuring components
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene across all kitchen activities
  • Serve food promptly and courteously (full training will be provided)
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Skills

  • Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirabl
  • Basic culinary experience with a focus on quality and presentation
  • Knowledge of baking would be great but again we can give training with this
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety practices and food safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • A positive attitude, excellent teamwork and communication skills

Pay: £14.50 per hour
