Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall management and efficient operation of all food and beverage within the hotel, including the restaurant, bar, room service, and banqueting. A key part of this role involves supporting the Events Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of all hotel events, ensuring seamless food and beverage service that enhances the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all F&B and ensure high standards of quality and service.
• Coordinate closely with the Events Manager to deliver excellent F&B service during meetings, conferences, weddings, and other functions.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels across outlets and events; assist in scheduling and team deployment.
• Supervise set-up, execution, and breakdown of all catered events and banquets.

Team Management

• Lead, motivate, and train the F&B team to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
• Conduct regular team briefings, performance evaluations, and development plans.
• Promote a collaborative culture between the F&B and Events teams.

Financial and Administrative

• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the F&B department.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls in line with budget and report to General Manager.

Guest Experience

• Maintain a visible presence during peak service times and events to support team and engage guests.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring follow-up and resolution.
• Collaborate with the Events Manager and Sales Team to create custom menus and service packages tailored to client needs.

Compliance and Quality

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain all licenses and certifications required for F&B operations.
• Monitor presentation, cleanliness, and atmosphere of all F&B areas.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in food and beverage management, preferably within a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Proven experience supporting or managing events and banqueting services.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
• Wine, spirits, and beverage knowledge.

Working Conditions:

• Requires standing for long periods and working during busy service hours and events.
