Full job description

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to extend our small team... someone with passion for hospitality and ultimately someone with the ability to learn quickly and take great care of our guests. You will have a varied role, working on the hotel reception desk and serving guests in both the bar and restaurant. This role will include daytime, evening and weekend work.

What are we ultimately looking for? You will need to have good written and spoken English. Confidence on both the phone and computer is a requirement. Full training is provided to get you settled in. Your working hours will be varied so flexibility is vital.

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will greet guests, create reservations via our guest reservations system, explain hotel amenities, give directions to bedrooms and produce room keys. Full training is provided but you will need to be confident on a computer and telephone.

  • Confidence to receive and confirm walk-in, telephone and online reservations.
  • Exhibit ability to maintain cleanliness.
  • Have exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility in your availability to work.
  • You must be over 18 years old as you will be serving alcohol without supervision on some occasions.

Working hours are paid on an hourly basis. Flexibility will be expected regarding hours of work to suit the needs of the business and team. You may be required to cover an early morning shift to check guests out of the hotel and cover reception until early afternoon. Or, you will cover the afternoon / evening shift which involves checking guests into the hotel and serving in the restaurant. The early shift starts at approximately 6:30am and the last team member locks up at 11pm.

We look forward to hearing from you.
