About us

Established in 1881, The Royal Belfast Golf Club is a private members’ club located in Craigavad, Co. Down, just outside Holywood. We are the oldest golf club in Ireland and have won numerous Parkland Golf Course of the Year accreditations.

Our beautiful Victorian clubhouse is one of the grandest in the country with three bar areas and a mix of formal and casual dining rooms. We are extremely fortunate to have a team of long-standing staff members who consistently provide high levels of customer service to members and visitors in a happy, warm, and friendly environment.

Our clientele ranges from members and their guests, overseas visitors, golf societies and corporate golf days to business meetings, private parties, weddings and high-profile individuals. No two days are ever the same.

If you can demonstrate experience of working a busy, face-paced bar and/or restaurant environment then we would love to hear from you.

The Role:

Ensuring the efficient running of the food and beverage operations within the club.

There are two positions available - one is a part-time position up to 20 hours a week, the other a full-time role up to 40 hours a week. The roles offer a flexible and rotational working schedule which will include a mix of shifts to include daytime, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring full preparation of bar and restaurant areas is completed for any events or functions
  • Full integration of all bar and catering operations
  • Meeting, greeting, and serving members and their guests in a polite, friendly, and professional manner
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and dining areas, storerooms, and surrounding areas

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a club environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A customer-first approach with a drive to get the job done
  • Flexible approach to working unsociable hours
  • Dependable and trustworthy
  • Access to own transport an advantage

The Package:
