KITCHEN PORTER

PERMANENT CONTRACT

40 hours per week (shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays).

£28,392 per annum

About Phyllis Court Club

Phyllis Court is a private members club situated in a grand riverside manor, set in 18 acres of land with 17 guest bedrooms on the River Thames in Henley-On-Thames and spectacular views over the river & the countryside beyond.

Phyllis Court has excellent facilities, superb cuisines and wines, relaxing riverside accommodation and friendly staff being the perfect setting to meet friends & colleagues, with the highlight of the year being Henley Regatta.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head Chef you will ensure all kitchen areas, utensils and equipment is clean, sanitised and ready to use.

Responsibilities will include

  • Clean all dishes, floors and equipment as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • All surfaces to be kept neat and tidy to minimize any potential safety issues
  • Clean and operate the dish machine in a safe and cleanly manner, keeping good hygiene practices to the fore.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety at Work and Hygiene regulations and report any irregularities to the Head Chef, Senior Sous Chefs or the Head of Operations.
  • Practice good personnel hygiene at all times to comply with the Clubs policies.

Skills and experience

  • Have an eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Willing to work in different areas of the kitchen and have a good all-round knowledge of a kitchen.
  • Clear communication skills
  • Organised and able to work under pressure
  • Enjoy working in a team and have a positive, friendly, can-do attitude
