Bellamy’s Coffee House & Kitchen is a brand-new independent coffee house and kitchen opening in Portsmouth – and we're looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join us from the very beginning.

We want Bellamy’s to be somewhere people genuinely enjoy spending time. Somewhere to grab a great coffee, meet a friend, enjoy breakfast or lunch, or simply sit for a while and watch the world go by.

Creating that feeling isn't just about what comes out of the kitchen or what's in the coffee cup. The people looking after our customers will be a huge part of what makes Bellamy’s, Bellamy’s.

That's where you come in.

What will you be doing?

As a Front of House Team Member, you'll be one of the faces of Bellamy’s.

You'll welcome customers, take orders and payments, serve food and drinks, clear and reset tables and help keep our customer areas looking their best.

Some days will be busy and fast-paced, so everyone will need to muck in. You might be taking an order one minute, running food the next and helping a colleague clear tables five minutes later.

We don't want overly formal service. We want warm, attentive and natural hospitality – noticing when someone needs something, remembering a regular customer and making everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome.

Bellamy’s will mainly operate during the daytime, although we may occasionally open in the evenings for private hire and special functions, so there may be opportunities for occasional evening shifts too.

Who would fit in at Bellamy’s?

Hospitality experience is certainly helpful, but it isn't everything.

We're much more interested in finding people with the right attitude and personality who we can train to do things the Bellamy’s way.

You might be perfect for us if you:

• Genuinely enjoy talking to and looking after people
• Are friendly, positive and approachable
• Have plenty of energy and aren't afraid of a busy service
• Notice the little things and take pride in doing a job properly
• Are reliable and turn up ready to work
• Enjoy being part of a team
• Are happy to get stuck in wherever you're needed
• Want to learn and develop your hospitality skills

Already barista trained? Even better!

Previous barista experience would be a real bonus, particularly if you're confident making great coffee and working in a busy coffee shop environment. However, it's not essential, as training will be provided.

You'll need to be available for weekend work and during busy holiday periods.
