Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in food preparation and kitchen operations, supporting senior chefs and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and standards
  • Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and executing basic cooking techniques under supervision
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in managing stock levels, receiving deliveries, and rotating inventory to minimize waste
  • Support senior chefs in supervising junior kitchen staff when required, fostering a positive team environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; eagerness to learn is key
  • Knowledge of food production processes, food safety standards, and hygiene practices
  • Strong interest in culinary arts with a desire to develop cooking skills and expand culinary knowledge
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
