Full job description

We're Breidbakers and we're currently looking for a talented and organised barista to take care of our front of house and general organisation in the bakery. We're a bakery and shop, in a railway arch in Bethnal Green, making sourdough bread, viennoisserie and other sweet treats and speciality coffee.

You will primarily be working FOH in the bakery; focusing on giving great customer service and serving up great coffee.

You would take charge of ordering and stock control ensuring costs are minimised, run occasional training and ensure the front of house is always looking perfect and customers are given the great service for which we are known. You would be expected to contribute ideas to improve and maintain standards.

Requirements:

-2 years of experience in speciality coffee or food (ideally both), including some supervisory experience.

-Understanding of coffee ratios, dialling-in espresso, pressure profiling, coffee processes and origins, consistent great milk steaming and pour.

-Clean and methodical working practice; taking pride in keeping a clean and tidy bar even in busier periods

-Some experience of food prep and food hygiene requirements in a bakery or cafe environment

Above all, a passion for coffee and baking are what we'd love to see.

Notes:

- Please include a cover note detailing your interest in and suitability for the role.

- The role would be 4 days a week, Probably Tue, Wed, Thu (07.45-15.45) & Sat (08.30-18.30) but there possibly could be some flexibility on exact days.
