Overview Term time only role
We are seeking a dedicated experienced Catering Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality catering services across various events and venues. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food, guest services, and the hospitality industry to develop their skills in a professional environment. Prior experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant settings is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation to ensure dishes meet quality standards
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
  • Support the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and service stations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
  • Provide excellent guest services by attending to customer needs promptly and professionally
  • Restock supplies as required during service periods to ensure smooth operation
  • Assist with inventory management and stock control for catering supplies

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for guest interactions
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends or evenings if required
  • A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail in food presentation and service standards
  • Personal commitment to maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene standards
