Akoko is a one Michelin star restaurant in Fitzrovia, serving West African cuisine with a modern approach. We care about exceptional food and service, but also personality, energy and ambition.

We’re looking for an experienced Waiter or Head Waiter ready for their next step.

This is a development role for someone who has mastered running a section and now has their sights set on management. You’ll continue delivering polished Michelin-level service while gradually taking more responsibility across the floor, supporting the management team and helping guide junior waiters.

For the right person, this is a clear stepping stone towards becoming a Floor Supervisor / Floor Manager.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience as a Waiter or Head Waiter in Michelin or high-level fine dining
  • Confident running a section and delivering excellent service
  • Warm, natural and engaging with guests
  • Good food and wine knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive, organised and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable supporting and guiding other team members
  • Ambitious and genuinely interested in progressing into management
