Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting guests with any loo needs they may have. Your ability to upsell menu items and provide culinary recommendations will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about the menu and making recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
  • Basic maths skills for processing payments and handling cash accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and satisfaction.
  • A passion for culinary arts and an understanding of food preparation processes is advantageous.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
