Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cake Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a particular focus on baking exquisite pastries. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. As our master of mixes and baking you will play a vital role in crafting delicious viennoisserie that delight our customers.

Duties

  • Learn How to prepare our viennoisserie and laminate doughs
  • Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Follow recipes accurately while also being able to create new pastry designs and flavours.
  • Manage the entire cake-making process from mixing ingredients to decorating finished products.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to throughout the baking process.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils used in cake preparation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages to management.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in baking techniques and knowledge of various cake decoration methods is essential.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments is required.
  • A background in food production or culinary arts will be advantageous for this role.
