Front of House / Dental Receptionist – Full Time

33 Dental | Anstey, Leicester
£13.00–£15.00 per hour | Monday–Friday | Permanent

Are you an experienced Dental Receptionist who knows how to make a front desk run brilliantly?

Do you naturally think ahead, take ownership and make patients feel genuinely looked after?

33 Dental is looking for an experienced Front of House / Dental Receptionist, with at least 3 years experience, to become a key part of our growing private dental practice in Anstey.

We don't want someone who simply answers the phone and books appointments.

We want someone who owns Front of House.

Someone who notices the diary gap before being asked. Follows up the patient who hasn't booked. Keeps the day running smoothly. Supports the clinical team. And makes every patient feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door.

⭐ IMPORTANT – Dental Experience Required

You must have at least 3 years' recent experience working specifically on reception within a busy dental practice.

Unfortunately, general reception or non-dental healthcare reception experience alone will not be suitable for this role.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of the patient journey and day-to-day Front of House, including:

  • Welcoming patients and creating a fantastic first impression
  • Managing a busy reception desk confidently
  • Answering calls and handling patient enquiries
  • Managing clinician diaries, cancellations and appointment changes
  • Spotting and proactively filling diary gaps
  • Following up enquiries and patients who haven't booked
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Taking and processing payments
  • Managing emails and correspondence
  • Supporting recalls and appointment confirmations
  • Keeping patient records accurate and up to date
  • Communicating closely with dentists, nurses and management
  • Handling patient concerns professionally and compassionately
  • Keeping reception organised, calm and welcoming
  • Taking real ownership of Front of House

The Person We're Looking For

You'll be:

✓ Experienced – minimum 3 years' dental reception experience
✓ Proactive – you see what needs doing and get on with it
✓ Confident – on the phone, with patients and with the team
✓ Organised – you can juggle a busy diary without losing attention to detail
✓ Commercially aware – you understand the importance of enquiries, diary utilisation and patient follow-up
✓ Warm and personable – patients genuinely enjoy dealing with you
✓ Calm under pressure – busy days don't throw you
✓ Reliable – your team can depend on you
✓ Team focused – you'll help wherever needed

Experience using dental practice management software is essential. Experience with EXACT/SOE or Dentally would be a big advantage.
