Full-time 35-40 Hours Per Week

Salary £30,030.00 - £34,320.00 Per Annum

About The Limpsfield Club

The Limpsfield Club is a friendly and thriving rackets club in Oxted, Surrey, offering a great environment for members to play, socialise and enjoy themselves.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Food & Beverage Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running and development of our food and beverage operation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy club environment, takes pride in delivering excellent service and wants the opportunity to make a real difference.

The Role

As Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the club's F&B operation, ensuring that our members and their guests receive a consistently high standard of service.

You will be a visible and approachable presence within the club, working closely with the General Manager, management team and wider staff to create a welcoming, professional and enjoyable environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day food and beverage operation, including the bar, café and member events.
  • Leading, motivating and developing the F&B team.
  • Creating a warm, friendly and efficient service for members and their guests.
  • Managing rotas, staffing levels and day-to-day team organisation.
  • Taking responsibility for F&B budgets, sales, margins and cost control.
  • Managing stock levels, purchasing and supplier relationships.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, licensing and compliance.
  • Working with the kitchen and/or catering team to develop an appealing and commercially successful food offering.
  • Planning and delivering F&B for club competitions, tournaments, social events and private functions.
  • Looking for opportunities to increase F&B revenue and improve the member experience.
  • Monitoring customer feedback and responding positively to suggestions and issues.
  • Ensuring the bar and service areas are clean, well presented and properly maintained.
  • Act as Duty Manager when on shift to support the club's overall operations and objectives.

About You

We are looking for someone who is energetic, personable and commercially aware, with a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing a food and beverage, hospitality, café, restaurant, bar or club operation.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of margins, stock control and budgets.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved when required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A natural ability to build relationships with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • A good understanding of food safety, licensing and health & safety requirements.
  • The ability to remain calm and positive in a busy environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
