Amici is a busy, family-run Italian restaurant dedicated to serving authentic dishes made with fresh, quality ingredients. We pride ourselves on excellent food, great service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both our guests and team.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef who is looking to develop their career within a growing restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to company standards
  • Supervising and supporting the kitchen team
  • Ensuring food hygiene, health and safety standards are maintained
  • Assisting with stock control, ordering, and reducing waste
  • Helping with menu development and seasonal specials
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie ready to progress
  • Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
  • Passion for quality food and attention to detail
