The Role

As the first point of contact for our guests, you are the face of The Banc. This is a high-profile front-of-house position requiring confidence, elegance, and exceptional attention to detail.

You will manage reservations, guest flow, and first impressions with precision, working closely with management and service teams to ensure every guest journey is seamless, welcoming, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional, polished welcome to every guest
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating plans with accuracy and discretion
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries with professionalism and confidence
  • Control guest flow during peak services to maintain service excellence
  • Liaise closely with floor staff, kitchen, and management teams
  • Maintain immaculate presentation standards at the reception and entrance
  • Resolve guest queries and concerns calmly and efficiently
  • Consistently uphold The Banc’s service standards

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Front of House, Host/Hostess, or Receptionist role within a premium or high-volume restaurant
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner
  • Experience using reservation platforms such as SevenRooms and/or OpenTable
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
  • Impeccable personal presentation and a guest-first mindset
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and peak service periods
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom
