Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant team operations supervisor (Nigeria restaurant). to oversee daily restaurant activities, ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and culinary experience, African Chef back ground and a passion for hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving team performance and delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure adherence to health and safety standards across all departments.
  • Coordinate food production processes to optimise efficiency while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Lead team management initiatives to foster a positive working environment focused on teamwork and exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock control to minimise waste and maximise profitability.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and front-of-house operations during service hours.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to improve overall efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly to uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
  • Will be required to manage the marketing and administrative team.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in team management and staff development.
  • Knowledge of culinary practices, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
  • Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with African restaurant is required can be beneficial.
