Cafe Manager – The Paddle, Highcliffe

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Location: Highcliffe, Dorset
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Cafe Manager to join our team at The Paddle in Highcliffe.

This is a leadership role for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering great food, coffee and customer service every day.

The Paddle is a busy independent café serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, speciality coffee and seasonal events. We are looking for a manager who can lead from the front, motivate a team and maintain high standards while creating a positive working environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the café, including:

  • Leading and motivating the front of house team
  • Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards
  • Managing labour and helping control wage percentages
  • Recruitment, training and development of team members
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Managing shifts and rotas
  • Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and food hygiene standards
  • Working closely with the kitchen and wider management team to drive the business forward

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
