We’re looking for an experienced, energetic and people focused General Manager to lead our busy Coffee House in Lymm.

This is more than a coffee shop. Our Lymm store is a busy eatery and coffee house, serving a brunch menu alongside our coffee, food and drinks. We’re looking for someone with a strong food service and hospitality background who understands how to run a high volume operation and bring together great front of house and kitchen teams.

As General Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the smooth and successful running of the store, leading a management team and creating an environment where people feel supported, motivated and able to thrive.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be the driving force behind the store, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the moment we open through to close.

You’ll lead and develop a team that includes Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, Team Members and Chefs, making sure everyone understands their role and has the support and coaching they need to succeed.

Your role will include:

  • Taking overall responsibility for the daily running of the store
  • Leading, coaching and developing your team
  • Creating a positive and high performing environment where people can thrive
  • Ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly, efficiently and consistently
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and service
  • Overseeing our brunch service and ensuring an excellent customer experience
  • Managing the balance between front of house and kitchen operations
  • Ensuring food safety, hygiene, health & safety and company standards are consistently achieved
  • Managing rotas, labour and staffing levels effectively
  • Driving sales and commercial performance
  • Recruiting, training and developing great people

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced hospitality professional who understands that a successful operation comes down to great people, great food and great service.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong food service, restaurant, café or hospitality background
  • Has experience managing a busy food led operation
  • Has experience leading a management team, including Assistant Managers, Team Leaders and/or Chefs
  • Understands the importance of a well run kitchen and consistent food standards
  • Is confident managing both front of house and back of house operations
  • Is commercially aware and understands how to drive sales and manage costs
  • Is an excellent people leader who genuinely enjoys developing others
  • Creates a positive environment where people feel valued, supported and motivated
  • Is organised, calm under pressure and able to prioritise in a fast paced environment
  • Leads by example and isn't afraid to get stuck in
  • Has high standards and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude every day
