Food & Beverage Team Leader – The Deck Restaurant

The Deck, set on the stunning Exmouth seafront, is a modern, vibrant restaurant where quality food, relaxed coastal dining, and exceptional service come together. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Food & Beverage Team Leader to help lead our front-of-house team and shape the guest experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the floor, supporting a team, and being part of a venue where every detail matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take the lead on shifts and support the smooth day-to-day running of The Deck:

  • Running well-organised, professional service during busy lunch, dinner, and event periods
  • Leading and supporting the front-of-house team to deliver consistently high standards
  • Creating a welcoming, relaxed dining experience for every guest
  • Acting as the first point of contact for team support and customer queries
  • Supporting with team training, onboarding, and shift coordination
  • Driving great service, including menu knowledge and thoughtful upselling
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service delivery
  • Supporting stock control, cash handling, and daily operational tasks
  • Handling feedback and resolving issues in a professional and positive way

  • Experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
  • Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team during service

  • Good organisation and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support others
  • An interest in food, drink, and creating a great dining experience
  • Someone who is keen to develop and progress within hospitality
