Part-Time Chef de Partie (CDP)

Nourish Café – Wilmslow

Nourish is an established fresh-food café in the heart of Wilmslow, just a 4-minute walk from Wilmslow train station (only 2 stops from Manchester city centre), with free on-site parking available.

We are looking for a part-time Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our small, focused kitchen team.

This role is ideal for an experienced chef who enjoys working with fresh food in a well-organised kitchen and is looking for sociable working hours, with the opportunity to increase their hours and responsibility over time.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie at Nourish, you will work closely with our Head Chef and Second Chef to deliver high-quality fresh food during our busy breakfast and lunch services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes to our specifications
  • Assisting with daily food preparation and mise en place
  • Maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation
  • Supporting the kitchen during busy service periods
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
  • Assisting with stock rotation and food safety procedures
  • Helping with closing down and preparation for the following day’s service
  • Providing holiday cover when required

We pride ourselves on running a calm, respectful kitchen where teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude are highly valued.

Hours

Initially, this role offers 15-25 hours per week, with additional hours available when covering holidays.

Typical daytime shifts are:

  • Monday–Saturday: 10am – 4:30pm
  • Sunday: 8:15am – 3:30pm

Once you have become familiar with our menu, standards and kitchen procedures, there will be opportunities to increase your hours by taking on independent evening shifts.

These evening shifts involve:

  • Preparing takeaway and Deliveroo orders
  • Managing online orders during service
  • Completing food preparation for the following day’s service
  • Closing the kitchen and ensuring it is fully prepared for the next morning

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within the business while taking on additional responsibility.

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to step up
  • Experience working with fresh food
  • Passion for cooking and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • High standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Able to work confidently as part of a small team and independently when required
