The Brothers Supper is an established events and private catering company based in Milton Keynes, specialising in weddings, corporate functions, private dining and exclusive events across the UK.

Our team's background includes running catering operations at prestigious venues such as Aynhoe Park, with experience catering for high-profile clients including the Beckhams, Kate Moss and Stella McCartney.

Alongside our nationwide events operation, we also run our own hospitality venues, giving our team the opportunity to work across both restaurant service and private events.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and versatile hospitality professional to join our team on a part-time basis, working approximately 20 hours per week.

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to somebody with a strong hospitality background who enjoys being involved in different aspects of a growing business.

Your primary responsibilities will involve supporting our pub and restaurant operations alongside helping deliver weddings, private functions and corporate events.

During quieter periods, you will also assist with general administration, cleaning, organisation and other operational tasks to help keep the business running smoothly.

We're looking for somebody who is happy to get stuck in, takes pride in their work and understands that great hospitality is about teamwork, flexibility and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Pub & Restaurant Operations

• Delivering excellent food and beverage service.
• Supporting day-to-day front-of-house operations.
• Preparing the restaurant for service, including table settings and general presentation.
• Assisting with bar service and guest enquiries.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Supporting management with the smooth running of shifts.

Weddings & Events

• Helping set up, deliver and pack down weddings, private functions and corporate events.
• Providing professional food and beverage service.
• Working alongside event coordinators to ensure events run smoothly.
• Assisting with event logistics, equipment and venue preparation.
• Maintaining excellent service standards throughout each event.
• Representing The Brothers Supper professionally at a variety of venues.

Administration & General Operations

During quieter periods, duties may also include:

• General administrative support and data entry.
• Helping prepare event paperwork and operational documents.
• Cleaning, organising and maintaining workspaces.
• Supporting stock checks and equipment organisation.
• Assisting with event preparation and other reasonable day-to-day business tasks.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years' professional hospitality experience, ideally within restaurants, hotels, weddings or events.
• Strong food and beverage service skills.
• Confidence working in busy hospitality environments.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative.
• A flexible approach to duties, including helping with administration, cleaning and general operations.
• Reliability and a willingness to support the wider team.
• Availability to work Saturdays as required.

Desirable Experience

• Wedding or event catering experience.
• Fine dining or formal table service.
• Bar and drinks service.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with EPOS Now or similar till systems.
• Basic administrative and computer skills.

Working Hours & Availability

This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled around the operational needs of the business.

As we operate across both restaurant and event catering, flexibility is essential.

• Peak periods: You will be expected to work most Saturdays, particularly during the busy wedding and events season.
• Off-peak periods: You will still be required to work a minimum of two Saturdays per month.
• Additional hours: Some events may require longer shifts, including evenings and late finishes.
• Overtime: Additional hours will be paid at the standard hourly overtime rate.
• Travel: Some events take place outside Milton Keynes. Travel or accommodation will be arranged where required.

We will aim to provide rotas in advance wherever possible, although the nature of events means some flexibility will be necessary.

Pay & Career Progression

Starting pay: £14.50 per hour

We believe in recognising experience, commitment and performance. Pay increases will be considered as you develop within the business, demonstrate your capabilities and take on additional responsibilities.

This is more than just a part-time hospitality position.
