Job Summary

At The Primrose, Ballynahinch we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender to elevate our guests' experience through exceptional service and expert mixology. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will craft innovative drinks, ensure a welcoming atmosphere, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your energetic presence and attention to detail will contribute to creating memorable moments for our patrons while maintaining efficient bar operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your bartending skills in a lively environment that values enthusiasm, professionalism, and teamwork.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing excellent service that encourages repeat visits.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and workstations, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Manage bar inventory by tracking stock levels, restocking supplies, and communicating needs to management promptly.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems while balancing registers at shift end.
  • Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-serving in compliance with legal regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours and special events.

Skills

  • Proven experience in bartending within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, drink recipes, and beverage presentation.
  • Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests warmly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards at all times.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and managing inventory counts accurately.
  • Effective time management to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without compromising quality.
  • Ability to serve efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a lively setting.
