Job Summary

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and creativity, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Follow established recipes, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Assist in meal assembly, plating, and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Manage food inventory levels, restock ingredients, and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas throughout each shift
  • Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food prep or serving as needed
  • Adhere to health regulations and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
  • Bake fresh cakes daily to ensure our cake cabinet is full.

Experience

  • Prior experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred at a minimum of Level 2
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
  • Kitchen experience involving meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation is highly desirable
  • Baking experience preferred but willingness to learn is also desirable.
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving customers and managing multiple tasks efficiently is a plus
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
